Description
Yllera is a long-established family house in Castilla y León, working the high continental plateau where Verdejo and Tempranillo are widely grown. Cinco.5 is a low-alcohol rosé blending the white Verdejo with the red Tempranillo, made for an easy, refreshing style that holds at just 5.5%. The continental climate, with hot days and cold nights across the meseta, keeps natural acidity high in the fruit, which gives this lighter wine the freshness it needs to stay balanced. Fermentation is stopped early and kept cool to retain primary fruit and a touch of natural sweetness, so the wine carries ripe flavour without the weight of full alcohol. The colour is a luminous pink, the nose offers strawberry, cherry, pear and white peach with a floral lift, and the palate is silky and rounded, with ripe red fruit framed by both sweet and tart notes and a long, clean finish. The gentle balance makes it approachable on its own or with light food. Serve well chilled at 6 to 8 degrees.
