Description
Xiaman is an artesanal mezcal built as an ensamble of Tepeztate and Espadin, two agaves cooked, fermented and distilled together rather than blended after the fact. The Espadin gives the sweet, balanced backbone while the addition of Tepeztate, the wild and very slow growing Agave marmorata, brings the herbal, green character that sets this bottling apart. This is the 50 ml sample version of the 0.7 litre bottle.
Made in the artesanal manner, the spirit reads from the agave outward, with the cultivated Espadin carrying roasted agave and citrus and the Tepeztate layering in green, vegetal and bright herbal notes on top. The presentation matches the contents, finished with attention to detail, and the miniature is an easy way to meet the ensamble before committing to a full bottle. Bottled at 44%.
