Description

This 15 Year Old single cask comes straight from Worthy Park under its WPM marque, selected for Belgian importer The Nectar. Worthy Park is the St. Catherine estate that distils 100% on its modern pot still and builds esters through fermentation alone, giving a clean, precise house style rather than the loudest funk, here distilled from molasses in 2006 and matured in ex-bourbon at cask strength.

The nose is woody and fruity with apple and a sour edge, the palate is led by apple and green apple over woody, caramelised notes, and the finish stays woody and fruity with sour grape. Unsweetened and bottled at 54%, this single cask shows a more oak-driven, slightly astringent side of Worthy Park where the wood and orchard fruit lead rather than tropical esters, a pour for drinkers who want the estate's cleaner character with age behind it.
