Worthy Park sits at the clean, precise end of the Jamaican spectrum, and WPL shows that restraint, eight years in ex-bourbon oak giving structure without heavy funk.

The nose is fresh and round with light wood and apple, dried fruit and a touch of leather and caramel behind it. The palate keeps that roundness, adding roasted and fruity notes over the oak, and the finish turns smoky with dried fruit and chocolate. Bottled unsweetened at cask strength, 57%, and non-chill-filtered in the S.B.S tradition, it is a polished, food-friendly Jamaican rather than an ester bomb.
