Description
Rum-Bar Gold is Worthy Park's own bottling, a young 4 Year Old made entirely on the estate's Forsyths pot still in St. Catherine. As one of the distillery's accessible releases it is a straightforward way into Pure Single Jamaican rum without the strength or price of the older single casks.
Worthy Park keeps its esters clean and moderate, drawing them from fermentation alone, so this leans more fruit than funk: ripe banana and tropical fruit over light vanilla and gentle wood, with a touch of nail polish on the nose. Matured in Ex-Bourbon oak and bottled unsweetened at 40%, it is light in body and easy, a dependable tiki and cocktail base that still holds up sipped casually.
