Description
Archives is the single-cask label of Whiskybase, the online database beloved of collectors. This 8 year old Williamson, from cask 290, came off the stills in 2014 and was bottled in 2022., from The Fishes of Samoa range. This is Williamson, the name independents use for teaspooned Laphroaig, a cask spiked with a token spoonful of another malt so it cannot carry the Laphroaig name. Bessie Williamson, who ran the distillery from 1954, lends the name.
Ex-Bourbon and eight years round the medicinal Islay spirit.
Bottled at cask strength, 65.5%, vanilla and a creamy oak note from the ex-Bourbon. Expect honey.
