Morrison Scotch Whisky Distillers, the family firm behind the Càrn Mòr and Mac-Talla ranges, prizes variety through careful cask selection is an independent bottler. This 9 year old Williamson was distilled in 2013 and bottled in 2023. in the Càrn Mòr - Strictly Limited range. This is Williamson, the name independents use for teaspooned Laphroaig, a cask spiked with a token spoonful of another malt so it cannot carry the Laphroaig name. Bessie Williamson, who ran the distillery from 1954, lends the name.

It spent nine years in ex-Bourbon, long enough to round the iodine-rich spirit.

Bottled undiluted at 47.5%, the cask lends vanilla and a touch of honey. Medicinal smoke, kelp and tar in the house style.
