A.D. Rattray traces its name to a firm established in 1868 and today releases single casks four times a year in its Cask Collection. This 6 year old Williamson, from cask 130 (part) was distilled in 2011 and bottled in 2017., from the Individual Cask Release range. This is Williamson, the name independents use for teaspooned Laphroaig, a cask spiked with a token spoonful of another malt so it cannot carry the Laphroaig name. Bessie Williamson, who ran the distillery from 1954, lends the name.

Matured in Oloroso, 6 years wrap its peaty, maritime character in the cask's character.

Bottled undiluted at 61.1%, the Oloroso brings dried fruit, fig and walnut. On the palate, chocolate.
