Description
The Single Cask is a bottler and bar group releasing individual casks, with venues in Edinburgh and beyond. This 13 year old Williamson, from cask 918, came off the stills in 2010 and was bottled in 2024. Williamson means teaspooned Laphroaig, a cask given a token measure of another malt so the distillery name is off-limits and the label says blended malt. It remembers Bessie Williamson, Laphroaig's owner from 1954.
Thirteen years in Oloroso draw the cask's fruit into the famous Laphroaig smoke.
At its natural 54.4%, sherry-soaked fig and raisin from the Oloroso. The profile runs to leather, a medicinal edge, a rubbery note, smoke.
