Description
High Spirits Distribution is an independent bottler. Filled in 2010 and bottled 2021, the whisky is a 10 year old Williamson, from cask 895 & 896., from the Longvalley Selection. This is Williamson, the name independents use for teaspooned Laphroaig, a cask spiked with a token spoonful of another malt so it cannot carry the Laphroaig name. Bessie Williamson, who ran the distillery from 1954, lends the name.
Aged ten years in ex-Bourbon, the oak rounds the heavily peated make.
At 50%, undiluted, the bourbon wood adds vanilla and light spice. A big medicinal peat, iodine and ash through the finish.
