Description
Wiener Mocca Kaffeelikoer is a coffee liqueur from the Freihof Destillerie in Austria, bottled at 23% and built around the Viennese coffee house tradition. Selected beans are roasted and worked into an intense, aromatic coffee extract, then blended gently with the spirit base into a smooth, sweetened liqueur in the traditional infused style. The Viennese mocha character is the idea, a rounded coffee note rather than a bitter espresso edge.
The nose is intense coffee and roasted beans with fine chocolate and a hint of caramel, the palate full bodied and creamy with strong coffee, light sweetness and a subtle bitter note of dark chocolate, finishing long and smooth with a balance of sweetness and roast. Behind the bar it brings coffee body, roast and sweetness in one pour, which makes it a ready base for an Espresso Martini or a White Russian, where its depth carries the drink. Serve it slightly chilled or over ice as a digestif, or stir it into coffee and dessert serves.
