Description
Watt Rum presents this single cask of Trinidad Distillers Limited, the living Angostura distillery known for light, fragrant column still rum. Distilled in 2007, aged sixteen years and bottled at its natural 57.1% without added sugar, it shows the drier, more delicate side of the island.
Matured in ex-bourbon oak, it stays light and elegant despite the proof, with menthol, tea and dried fruit over gentle spice on the nose. The palate keeps that herbal, dry character with tea, mint and dried fruit, the finish woody and spiced with a raisin note. The fresh menthol and tea twist marks it out among TDL single casks, the typical Angostura lightness carried up to full strength while staying contemplative rather than heavy. A subtle, refined Trinidad rum for those who prefer restraint and a clean, dry profile.
