Description
Win Win is the entry wine from Von Winning, one of the largest estates in the Palatinate, whose 42 hectares of vineyards stretch along the Wine Route from Neustadt to Forst. It is classified as a VDP Gutswein, the estate tier, and made to be enjoyed young rather than cellared. The vines are farmed biodynamically and grow on red and yellow sandstone mixed with ancient coral reef and other old bedrock, soils that drain freely and give the wine a light, airy feel. The Palatinate is one of Germany's warmest, driest wine regions, sheltered by the Haardt hills, so the Riesling ripens well while cool nights lock in its fresh acidity. Made dry and bottled young to keep its fruit clean and direct, it pours pale with green glints. The nose is all citrus and orchard fruit, with lemon, green apple, pear and a touch of white flowers. The palate is dry, crisp and juicy, with a clean, refreshing finish. Serve well chilled at 8 to 10 degrees.

Additional information
An everyday white for prawns, mussels and grilled white fish, where its citrus bite does the work of a lemon wedge. It is equally at home with green salads and lighter starters. Serve it cold as an aperitif on a warm day.
