Von Hallers Gin is a tribute to Albrecht von Haller, the 18th-century physician, poet and botanist who founded Göttingen's botanical gardens in 1736. The brand sources its botanicals from those same historic beds, each plant hand-picked, then ships them from Germany to Ireland's The Shed Distillery to be distilled. The result marries old botanical scholarship with a clean, modern spirit at a confident 44%.

The nose is fresh and citrus-led, juniper and a subtle herbal spice framing a fine floral note. The palate is full-bodied and balanced: bright citrus, juniper and coriander knitted to a gentle herbal warmth, closing long and smooth with a lingering citrus freshness.
