Volcán De Mi Tierra Tequila Reposado

Volcan De Mi Tierra is a single NOM brand owned by LVMH and the Gallardo family, made at Agrotequilera de Jalisco. This reposado, like the rest of the range, is a terroir blend that draws on both lowland agave from the Jalisco valley floor and highland agave from higher ground, and marries distillates worked by both traditional and modern methods into a single spirit.

The base is the brand's blanco, a Blue Weber tequila that rests 135 days in American and European oak barrels before this reposado is drawn. The nose is fruit forward, with blackcurrant, red apple, pineapple and ripe peach alongside nut, dried fruit and a floral, honeyed background. The palate adds roasted notes and tobacco to the fruit and citrus, closing on a gentle honeyed sweetness. The two source distillates give it both the rounded fruit of the highlands and the firmer structure of the valley.
