Description
Volcan De Mi Tierra Blanco Tahona is a 100% Blue Weber tequila from Agrotequilera de Jalisco at Huaxtla, NOM 1523, a single distillery house owned by LVMH alongside the Gallardo family that blends highland and lowland agave. This bottling is built around the traditional tahona method, where the cooked agave hearts are crushed under a heavy volcanic stone wheel for a rounder, more textured spirit.
The agave is steam cooked, tahona pressed and bottled unaged at 38% to show the method rather than the cask. The nose offers fresh agave with delicate citrus and floral notes and a faint saline lift, while the palate is creamy and oily with clear agave sweetness, lime and grapefruit and a measured white pepper spice. It closes dry and fine grained with a mineral echo recalling volcanic ash.
