Description
Vivir Tequila Reposado is the rested expression of the brand's 100% Blue Weber highland blanco, made in Jalisco for the independent British line that has bottled in Mexico since 2019. Reposado means at least two months in oak, and here the spirit takes six months in American oak ex-bourbon barrels, enough to layer gentle wood over an agave core that still leads.
The agave is harvested at around nine years from the red clay of Los Altos, cooked in masonry hornos and made with volcanic spring water. American oak from former bourbon barrels is the classic source of the notes that follow: an earthy nose carrying light sweetness, then vanilla, caramel and melted butter wrapped around baked agave. Bottled at 40%, it sits comfortably in an Old Fashioned or over ice.
