Velier Caroni Heavy Rum HTR 1992

Velier's Caroni Heavy Rum 1992 is one of the touchstone bottlings from the legendary closed Trinidad distillery. Caroni ceased production in 2003, and Velier's tropically aged, full proof releases of its rescued casks built the entire cult around its heavy rum. This Heavy mark, at 20 years old, is among the most admired of them.

Matured at origin in ex-bourbon oak and bottled at full proof, 60.21%, with no sweetening, it shows the dirty signature in concentrated form: tar, rubber, menthol and dark wood wrapped around tropical fruit and spice, with a long, savoury, mentholated finish.
