Colloquially known as “Lot B”, the 12 Year Old from Van WInkle is known as wheat heavy. Distilled and aged since 2002 at the Buffalo Trace Distillery in Frankfort, Kentucky, under the watchful eye of Julian Van Winkle III, the third generation to carry on the family legacy. The “Lot B” designation indicates specific bottlings from barrels that achieved peak maturity at 12 years. It’s labeling and bottle design has not changed since it’s inception in the early 90’s, bar the change of distilleries circa 2002.

Aged for 12 years in new, charred American white oak barrels, this bourbon boasts a captivating aroma of caramel, vanilla, and baking spices, with hints of citrus and oak. On the palate, it delivers flavors of butterscotch, toasted nuts, and dark fruit, balanced by a subtle oak presence. Bottled at 90.4 proof (45.2% ABV), it offers a long, satisfying finish with lingering notes of sweetness and spice.
