Description
Ukiyo means the floating world, a way of living wholly in the moment, and the Japanese Blossom is the range's homage to hanami, the seasonal ritual of watching the sakura bloom. Made in Kagoshima beneath the active Sakurajima volcano, the gin is built not on a neutral grain spirit but on traditional rice shochu, re-distilled with botanicals so it keeps an exceptionally smooth, gentle frame.
The nose is floral with cherry blossom, soft citrus, quiet juniper and fine spice; the palate is supple and harmonious, floral elegance threaded with fresh citrus and a light sweetness. The finish is long and gentle with a subtle spice. Serve in an elegant gin and tonic with a floral tonic and a few dried cherry blossoms.
