Twelve Whisky d’Aubrac Rhum Rare Jamaica & Barbados Port Cask Finish

This Twelve Whisky d'Aubrac release is a pot-still blend of Jamaica and Barbados rum, given a port-cask finish and bottled at a serious 65%. It sets out to bridge two styles, the funky, estery Jamaican side and the rounder, sweeter Barbados side, with the port finish adding a layer of dark fruit on top.

The nose is banana, vanilla, pineapple and a buttery note, while the palate brings coconut, banana, vanilla and more of that buttery richness. The finish carries banana, butter, coconut and wood. The blend reads warm and gourmand, with pastry-like depth and tropical fruit balanced by caramel and light oak, the Jamaican character giving lift and the Barbados side giving sweetness.
