Turntable Track 06 – All My Life 2024 Limited Edition (Turntable Spirits)

Turntable Track 06 - All My Life 2024 Limited Edition (Turntable Spirits) is a blended Scotch from Turntable Spirits. It marries malt and grain whiskies, with Speyside malt such as GlenAllachie for a rich, fruity core. It was mothballed in 1985 and reopened in 1989, a modern distillery by Speyside standards. It was built for the 1960s blend boom, its make long destined for the blender's vat.

The GlenAllachie within gives dried fruit and a dark chocolate. A bourbon barrel held it, the wood adding a soft honey over the fruit. Vanillin and oak lactones from the wood lend vanilla and a soft coconut over the fruit. The full bodied spirit takes active wood well, carrying its dark sugars through the years. The full spirit deepens with time, the cask drawing out its darker register. Maturation runs slow and even in the on site dunnage warehouses at Aberlour. Active first fill wood drives the maturation, the cask deep in the malt.

Bottled at 46%, it is rounded and full. Raisin, chocolate and a warm spice run through it. A baked apple and a warm cinnamon lift the middle. A long finish carries raisin, chocolate and a treacle. A characterful blended Scotch.
