This Tullibardine, an official release, bottled at 43%. Tullibardine, established in 1949 beneath the Ochil Hills at Blackford, is known for its wine cask finishes. Water comes from the Ochil Hills springs, the same source as the Highland Spring bottled water.

Distilled on soft Highland spring water, building the gentle Tullibardine style. A wine cask finish shaped it, the fruit meeting the honeyed spirit. With no age statement, it shows a soft, honeyed body and a malty fruit. The slow loss of the angel's share concentrates the honeyed, malty core over time. It is one of few distilleries to distil, mature and bottle entirely on the one site. Delme-Evans, a noted gravity flow designer, also drew up the Jura and GlenAllachie distilleries. The malt also feeds the Highland Queen blend, another brand in the Picard stable.

At an approachable 43% it is soft and balanced. The Sauternes lends honey, apricot and a candied sweetness, and oats, honey and a touch of ginger sit alongside honeyed oak sweetness underneath. It is gentle and honeyed, the soft spirit shining through. A honeyed, lightly spiced finish lingers. This is a wine finished Highland malt from Blackford.
