The Caskhound bottled this Tullibardine single malt matured to 9 year old from 2015, drawn from cask 6544221 and bottled at 51.5%. A release of 91 bottles. Set in Perthshire, off the A9, Tullibardine has distilled since 1949. It was founded by the distillery architect William Delme-Evans, the first new distillery in Scotland after the war.

The spirit was made in copper stills for a soft, fruity make, for a fruity, mellow make. A sherry butt held it, the wood lending raisin and walnut. At a youthful age the fruit is gentle and the malt soft. The light, malty make leans on the cask for much of its colour and flavour. The Murray and Custodian's Collections gather its older and rarer bottlings. Blackford's spring water has drawn brewers and distillers to the village for centuries. Tullibardine was founded in 1949 by the architect William Delme-Evans, the first new distillery in post war Scotland.

At a full 51.5% it is bold yet honeyed. The Pedro Ximenez lends raisin, date and treacle, and vanilla and a light toffee from the barrel, with honey, vanilla and a soft toffee. The mouthfeel is soft, the fruit carried on a honeyed body. A warming, honeyed finish lingers. This is a mellow, fruity Highland single malt.
