Tsarskaya Charka Gold is a Slovakian grain vodka from the Carpathian foothills, finished with a gold filtering step that gives it its name. It is made from grain alcohol and Carpathian spring water, then distilled and filtered several times for a soft, balanced character. The 500ml bottle holds a clean, gently sweet vodka built for chilled sipping.
Description
Tsarskaya Charka Gold is produced in Slovakia by CARAT Distillery, drawing on European distilling tradition and spring water from the Slovakian Carpathians. The base is grain alcohol, which gives a soft, neutral character, and the spirit is taken through multiple distillation and filtration passes to lift purity. Its signature is a final gold filtering process, the source of the name, which the producer credits for the vodka's smooth, velvety texture. Bottled at 40% by volume, the aim throughout is balance and softness rather than any assertive grain bite, a polished base for both neat drinking and mixing.
The nose is fresh, pure and mild, with subtle cereal and mineral notes. The palate is soft and harmonious, with a fine sweetness and a gentle body, finishing clean, elegant and long. A vodka tuned this far toward smoothness is best treated simply and cold, so chill it to around 8 to 10 degrees and serve neat in a small glass alongside food: pair it with smoked salmon or savoury tapas, where the slight sweetness and silky body sit well against salt and oil.
