Trüffelo Orange Trüffel Organic Dry Gin

    500 ml / 44%
    New Western

    $73

Fresh orange leads, then something rarer arrives: a low, earthy hum of truffle folded into the citrus. Made in Graz during the pandemic by True-fellow Handel, this organic dry gin pairs bright Styrian fruit with genuine truffle for an unexpectedly grown-up complexity. Long and round, with the truffle lingering gently after the orange fades.

Trüffelo was dreamed up in Graz, in the heart of Styria, when True-fellow Handel set out during the Corona years to make a gin that would please both private drinkers and the restaurant trade. The conceit is simple and bold: an organic gin built on an orange base, fresh and fruity, then refined with fine truffle nuances that give it an earthy, savoury depth. That meeting of citrus freshness and truffle is where the name comes from, and at 44% it keeps a clean dry-gin backbone.

The nose is all intense orange at first, with a subtle earthy truffle note underneath. The palate is full-bodied and complex, fresh orange and delicate truffle laced with a fine herbal thread. The finish is long and round, the truffle lingering as the citrus softens. Pour it over ice with a splash of water, or build a G&T where the truffle adds a genuinely intriguing twist.
