Trojka Pink Vodka Liqueur

Trojka is made by Diwisa, the Distillerie Willisau in Switzerland, and the Pink expression is a vodka liqueur rather than a neat vodka. The difference matters: a vodka base is sweetened and flavoured with fruity berry notes, then dropped to a modest 17% so it pours soft and accessible instead of spirit-forward. That lower strength and added sugar are deliberate, aimed squarely at party drinks and long mixers where colour and sweetness carry the glass. The vivid pink shade is its calling card, lighting up cocktails and shots.

The nose is fruity with sweet berries and a touch of citrus. The palate is sweet and fresh with berry fruit over a light vodka base, finishing soft and pleasantly sweet. Since it is already sweet, fruity and low in strength, the natural move is to lengthen and lift it: top a measure with chilled Prosecco over ice for a berry spritz, where the sparkling wine cuts the sweetness, adds a dry edge and turns the pink colour into the centrepiece of the glass.
