Description
This Tres Hombres bottling features rum from Ron Aldea on La Palma in the Canary Islands, distilled from fresh sugar cane juice and shipped under sail in the Tres Hombres tradition. The Ed. 036 La Palma Puro Bio is an organic 2018 release rested briefly in ex-bourbon casks and bottled at 40.4%. As a Canary rum it sits outside the French AOC, so it is agricole-style.
With only a short rest, this stays close to its fresh, cane-juice roots. Expect a light, grassy, vegetal character with fresh sugar cane sap and a clean, dry finish, just lightly touched by oak. A bright, easygoing pour with a good story behind it, well suited to a Ti Punch or a Daiquiri.
