Description
Trediberri is a small winery in La Morra, at the western edge of the Barolo zone in Piedmont, founded in 2007 by Nicola Oberto with his father Federico and their friend Vladimiro. This Langhe Nebbiolo is the entry to their range, made from younger Nebbiolo to be drunk earlier than their Barolo. The Langhe hills give calcareous marl soils and a wide day-to-night temperature range that keeps acidity fresh and aromatics clear. The wine spent six months in concrete tanks rather than oak, a neutral vessel that preserves the bright fruit and leaves the grape to speak. The colour is a light, translucent ruby. The nose is fresh and lifted, with red cherry, ripe raspberry and a floral rose note. The palate is light to medium-bodied, with juicy red fruit, fine gentle tannin and crisp acidity on a clean finish. This is Nebbiolo in an approachable everyday form, ready to enjoy now. Serve at 16 degrees, lightly chilled if you prefer. It suits roast chicken, cured meats, mushroom pasta and medium hard cheeses.
