Description
Travellers S.B.S 2011 is a single cask Belize rum from 1423's Single Barrel Selection, the Danish line known for transparent, cask strength, unsweetened bottlings. Distilled at the Travellers distillery in 2011 on a column still and aged 12 years, it arrives at 52%, a relaxed, dependable take on the Belize profile.
Matured in ex bourbon, it leads with caramel, vanilla and a fruity, lightly technical nose, then a palate of caramel, vanilla, orange peel and ripe fruit, finishing on caramel, gentle spice, dried fruit and light wood. The body is rounded and the alcohol well integrated, drinking softer than its strength suggests, and although unsweetened it carries a naturally sweet, smooth character. This is an easygoing, comforting style rather than a layered showpiece, a good choice for those who enjoy balanced, wood led rums and want a modest step up in proof without losing approachability.
