Travellers Plantation 2015 Cherry Liqueur Cask is a single cask Belize rum distilled at the Travellers distillery and finished by Maison Ferrand in cherry liqueur casks under its Plantation line. At eight years and 44.8 percent it is a sweet, dessert style bottling, aimed at relaxed evenings rather than serious neat analysis. The cherry cask finish defines its character.

Distilled on a column still from molasses and first matured in ex bourbon wood before its cherry cask finish, it pours cherry, chocolate, caramel and coconut from nose to sweet finish. The recognisable Belize base of chocolate, caramel, vanilla and roasted, coffee tinged wood still shows through beneath the fruit. The body leans sweet and the cherry liqueur character is generous, giving it an easy, dessert like appeal.
