Description
Torres De Casta is one of the long-standing wines of the Torres family, conceived in the 1940s by Miguel Torres Carbó and still made today. It blends Garnacha Tinta and Cariñena from D.O. Catalunya and is certified vegan. The fruit is grown across Catalonia under a warm Mediterranean climate moderated by altitude and sea breezes, which keeps the rosé fresh while allowing the grapes to ripen fully and give the wine its generous fruit. Cariñena lends colour, acidity and a savoury edge, while Garnacha brings the ripe red berry core. A measured skin contact draws a deeper pink than a pale Provence style, and cool fermentation preserves the primary fruit rather than building oak or texture. The colour is a bright pink. The nose shows ripe red berries, cherry and a hint of plum, with white peach and a herbal lift. The palate is dry and fruity, with strawberry and cherry on fresh acidity, closing clean and easy. Serve chilled at 9 to 11 degrees.
