Description
Topanito Blanco is a Blue Weber tequila made at the Casa Maestri distillery in the town of Tequila, Jalisco, and bottled by hand at a higher strength of 50%. It goes into the bottle directly after twice distillation with no rest in wood, keeping the focus squarely on bright, unmasked agave. The elevated proof gives it more aromatic push than the standard 40% version, making it a forceful base for cocktails such as a Margarita or Long Island Iced Tea.
Production begins with the slow cooking of the agave hearts in brick ovens, followed by fermentation with natural yeast cultures and a gentle second distillation in copper pot stills. The extra strength carries the agave further, showing more agave flavour than the 40% bottling along with pepper and a chilli bite, heavier and more driven on the palate. A clean, high proof lowland blanco at 50%.
