Tobermory Hebridean Isle of Mull Gin

    700 ml / 43.3%
    London Dry

    $39

Fresh juniper and citrus zest meet a faint salt-spray maritime edge, the work of island botanicals gathered on Mull itself. Tobermory built its name on whisky, but turns the same distilling craft to this Hebridean gin. Herbal, balanced and quietly windswept, it carries the wild edge of the Scottish coast.

The Tobermory Distillery on the Isle of Mull has spent most of its life making whisky, but the Hebridean Isle of Mull Gin shows what happens when that distilling knowledge turns to juniper. Some of the botanicals are gathered on the island itself, lending the gin a genuine sense of place, the wild, weather-beaten character of the Scottish Hebrides folded in among the classic gin notes. Juniper forms the base, while island herbs and plants add a fresh, faintly maritime complexity.

The nose is fresh and aromatic, juniper and citrus over light maritime nuances and green herbs. The palate is balanced and layered, citrus zest and fine spice woven through the pine. The finish is fresh and elegant, spicy herbs and citrus lingering on. Serve it with a dry tonic and a sprig of rosemary, or let its salt-edged freshness shine in a Dry Martini alongside fresh seafood.
