This Tobermory was drawn and bottled by Dràm Mòr, aged 25 year old from 1996, drawn from cask 277 and bottled at 50.1%. 167 bottles in all. Tobermory is the unpeated malt of the island's only distillery, founded in 1798 by John Sinclair. The stills carry boil bulbs and an S shaped kink in the lyne arms, which raises reflux.

Worked through the boil ball stills for an oily, fruity make, for the waxy, fruity spirit Tobermory is known for. It rested in ex-Bourbon oak for a honeyed sweetness. Beyond twenty years the malt grows deep and waxy, honey, dried fruit and nut over old oak. Refill oak lets the fruity, waxy Tobermory character lead. The distillery's history is broken by long silences; its buildings once stored a local cheddar. Burn Stewart revived production in 1993, and Distell bought the distillery in 2013. The stills carry boil bulbs and a kink in the lyne arms, which lifts the reflux.

Bottled at a cask strength 50.1%, it is intense. A fruity, waxy sweetness, and vanilla and a soft oak come from the bourbon wood. Soft orchard fruit and wax sit behind the cask. The close is long, fruit over a soft oak. This is a waxy, fruity island single malt.
