Tiki Lovers Hampden & Worthy Park & Foursquare Pineapple is a flavoured rum built on a serious blend of pot and column stock from three respected distilleries, aged five years in ex-bourbon and bottled at 45%. The pedigree of the base is unusual for a pineapple rum, though the fruit ultimately runs the show.

The nose is dominated by overripe pineapple, pleasingly natural rather than synthetic, with the rum base largely receding behind it. The palate is fruity and intensely led by pineapple, with a touch of Worthy Park banana peeking through the sweetness. This is unapologetically a flavoured, sweet rum, so it is no neat sipper, but the quality of the underlying Jamaican and Barbadian distillate gives it more backbone than most. It shines as a base for tiki drinks and rum punches, where its ripe pineapple character really pops and the distillery character lends extra depth.
