Description
Thin Lizzy is a blended malt Irish whiskey made by West Cork Distillers, the independent distillery in Skibbereen, Co. Cork, in tribute to the Dublin rock band. A blended malt marries single malts with no grain in the mix, and this Double Charred release carries no age statement.
The name points to its maturation in double charred bourbon casks, the deeper char coaxing extra vanilla, honey and dried fruit from the American oak. Bottled at 40%, it is a soft, sweetly wooded malt, an approachable pour behind its music branding.
