The Wild Parrot Worthy Park Saint Catherine 2006

Bottled by The Wild Parrot, this is a 13 year old single cask Worthy Park distilled in 2006 at the St. Catherine estate. Worthy Park is a 100 percent pot still, single estate house with a clean, precise style and moderate ester drawn from fermentation alone, well short of the wild Trelawny intensity but distinctly characterful.

Matured in ex-bourbon and bottled at a punchy 55.4 percent, it opens fruity and floral, with passion fruit, pineapple and honey, then turns spicy and bittersweet on the palate with brown sugar and grapefruit. The finish is long and warm, carrying fruit, leather and wood. Certified unsweetened, it adds extra fruit and spice at higher strength without drifting into extreme high ester territory, a focused, fruit forward Worthy Park for drinkers who like the estate's drier releases.
