The Wild Parrot Journey Label Collection 2014 is a Panamanian rum bottled by The Wild Parrot in a 2014 vintage. It sits in the soft, approachable Spanish-style tradition for which Panama is well known, where light column spirit and barrel ageing shape the character.
Bottled at 45%, a touch above the usual Panama 40%, it should show the mellow house signature of vanilla, caramel and gentle oak spice, with the higher strength lending a little more grip and presence. With age and added sugar unrecorded, it is fairly read as a smooth, rounded aged Panamanian rather than a dry, spirit-forward style.
