This official Glendullan, a 12 year old, at 40%. Glendullan is a Speyside single malt, founded in 1897 in Dufftown, the last of the town's seven distilleries. A second distillery was built alongside the original in 1972, the two running together until the old plant closed in 1985. It runs long fermentations and a slow distillation for a green, grassy, lightly fruity spirit. It sits on the banks of the River Fiddich, in the heart of Speyside. Since 2007 its single malt has been bottled as the Singleton of Glendullan, aimed at the United States.

Distilled from unpeated malt, building a clean malt of orchard fruit and a grassy edge. It rested in ex-Bourbon oak, oak lactones lending a creamy vanilla. By the integrating teens the raw notes fade and esters build, the fruity spirit growing rounder and creamier. Years in oak deepen the spirit to gold, the body growing rounder with time. Maturation runs slow and even in the warehouses at Dufftown.

At 40% it is fruity, creamy and soft. A grassy, malty sweetness, lifted by a soft oak. Melon, pear and a soft honey fill the middle. Green apple, citrus and a soft oak see it out. This is the lightly fruity malt of Dufftown.
