Singleton of Dufftown from the distillery, a 25 year old, at 43%. Dufftown is a Speyside single malt, sold as The Singleton of Dufftown since 2006. It runs a full lauter mash tun, twelve washbacks and six stills, and works around the clock.

It was made on Conval Hills water and condensed in shell and tube condensers, the long ferment building a grassy, fruity character. A European Oak cask held it, shaping the nutty spirit over the years. Through the evaporative decades the spirit concentrates, esters folding into dried fruit and a waxy nuttiness. Water from Jock's Well and a long ferment give the clean Dufftown make. Built for the blender's art, the spirit ages with grace as a single malt. Its single malt has been sold as The Singleton of Dufftown since 2006, mainly in the UK and Europe. Vanillin and oak lactones from the wood lend vanilla and coconut over the fruit.

Bottled at 43%, it is rounded. A malty, nutty sweetness, with a spiced, dried fruit edge from the cask. It is nutty and malty, the smooth spirit shining through. A long, malty finish carries an orchard fruit and a soft nut. This is the workhorse malt of Dufftown.
