Description
This is the original Pogues bottling, a blended Irish whiskey made by West Cork Distillers, the independent Skibbereen distillery in Co. Cork, in partnership with the band. It carries a three year age statement and was bottled around 2015 for the European market.
Aged in oak casks, the young blend leans on vanilla and fresh timber from the wood over orchard fruit, citrus and a grassy, hay like lift. At 40% it is light and uncomplicated, a sociable whiskey pitched to match its namesake.
