The Nectar of the Daily Drams bottled this nine year Travellers rum from a single ex bourbon cask, a 2014 vintage from Belize's best known distillery. Column distilled from molasses and bottled undiluted at full strength, it shows the gentle, dessert leaning side of Belize rum carried up to a serious proof.

The nose leads with coconut, vanilla and chocolate over dried fruit, with light wood and a wisp of smoke and banana behind. The palate turns woodier, dried fruit, vanilla and coconut framed by oak, while the finish layers coffee and chocolate into a faintly bitter, burnt edge. There is a clear sweetness and an oily, full texture, and the high strength asks for a little patience or a drop of water, making this a rich, slowly sipped molasses rum with plenty of coconut led charm.
