Description
This is a single cask of Dada Chapel's Belgian sugar beet rum, chosen and bottled at cask strength by The Nectar, a respected independent. The base is already unusual, a pot still rum made from sugar beet rather than cane, and here it arrives undiluted at a forceful 60.2%.
As a full proof single cask, the character is unmasked and intense. Sugar beet gives a distinctly atypical profile, more vegetal and astringent than a classic cane rum, with the high strength amplifying everything. This is an experimental, polarising bottling for adventurous drinkers rather than an easy or conventional rum, and water is essential.
