The Macallan 1824 Series Sienna is a well-regarded whisky in The Macallan’s range, focusing on natural color derived entirely from sherry oak cask maturation, without added coloring. Positioned between the lighter Amber and the richer Ruby, Sienna was crafted from a combination of first-fill sherry-seasoned American and European oak casks, giving it a rich and complex character.

On the nose, it offers bright and fruity aromas, including orange zest, clementines, peaches, and subtle vanilla, with a touch of cinnamon and oak. On the palate, Sienna reveals a sweet and malty profile, with notes of dried fruits such as raisins, dates, and apricots, complemented by spices like ginger and nutmeg. The finish is long and fruity, with lingering oranges and light spices.
Although part of the 1824 Series, which was discontinued in 2018, Sienna was particularly appreciated for its balance and complexity, often described as one of the best in the series.
