The London No. 1 Original Blue Gin

The London No. 1 is built in London from twelve hand-picked botanicals, among them Italian bergamot, Sri Lankan cinnamon, angelica root, coriander, almond and juniper from Tuscany. Distilled in traditional copper stills for purity, it is best known for its bright blue colour, drawn naturally from gardenia extract rather than added colouring, which gives it real shelf presence without compromising the spirit.

The nose is fresh juniper with spicy coriander, citrus and a hint of bergamot; the palate is soft and elegant, juniper and gentle spice joined by floral accents and a touch of sweetness. The finish is long, aromatic and delicately spiced. A stylish G&T with a floral tonic and a lemon twist shows it off; it also makes a memorable Blue Negroni.
