The Little Distiller Ultimatum Rum Cask Finish (Ultimate Whitlaw) 2017

This Ultimate Whitlaw release is a single cask Barbados rum bottled by The Little Distiller under its Ultimatum Rum line, vintage 2017, with around four and a half years of age. Built on Bajan molasses, matured in ex-bourbon oak with a rum cask finish and bottled unsweetened at cask strength, 48.9%, it is a dry, naturally presented young Bajan. Barbados rum typically shows toffee, ripe banana, vanilla and soft baking spice in a balanced, rounded frame. At full proof and without added sugar, expect a livelier, more focused expression of that profile, the oak still fresh at this age.
