The Last Piece World Edition Batch 1 (T & T Toyama)

The Last Piece World Edition Batch 1 is a blended malt whisky assembled by independent bottler T and T Toyama from three Japanese craft distilleries: Eigashima Shuzo in Hyogo, Nagahama in Shiga and Sakurao Distillery in Hiroshima. Released in 2022 for the Japan domestic market at cask strength 50% in a 700ml format and carrying no age statement, it runs alongside the Japanese Edition as a distinct expression within The Last Piece range.

Where the Japanese Edition is unpeated, this World Edition Batch 1 carries a notable smoky quality across its Ex-Bourbon cask base, which may reflect a peated component from one or more of the three source distilleries. The smoke sits over the vanilla and soft fruit character typical of bourbon-cask blended malt, adding an additional dimension and making this batch the more complex and characterful of the two Last Piece expressions from this 2022 release.
