As one of the range's earliest European releases, this 2016 bottling helped establish the Kurayoshi name internationally. Matsui Shuzo's Kurayoshi range has drawn on sourced malt alongside house-produced spirit, and early releases in particular reflect that history.

Ex-Bourbon cask maturation shapes the character here, delivering vanilla and light dried fruit on the nose with a clean cereal sweetness through the palate. The no age statement means there is no specific commitment on maturation depth, and the profile is straightforward and consistent. The finish is relatively clean and brief, with gentle woodspice warmth.
