The Glover 7 Years Old AD (Adelphi)

The Glover 7 Years Old is the latest aged expression of Adelphi's Scotland-Japan blended malt series, released in 2025 for the European market. The range pairs malt from Chichibu distillery in Saitama, Venture Whisky's celebrated small-batch operation, with single malt from Ardnamurchan on the remote west coast of Scotland, in a collaboration that honours the historic connections between the two countries through the figure of Thomas Blake Glover.

Matured in Ex-Bourbon casks and bottled at 54.5% cask strength, this 7 year old edition adds one further year of wood contact compared with the 6 year old release in the series. No specific flavour profile was noted, but the series typically shows fresh fruit, citrus and fragrant, green-tinged brightness from the Chichibu contribution, tempered by the coastal, slightly maritime quality that Ardnamurchan brings. The cask strength format preserves both profiles at full intensity.
